Pulikkali : Folk dance in Onam celebrations
Pulikkali is one of the folk dance form during Onam celebrations in Kerala. People wearing costumes of animals like Tiger and dance with rythm of Chenda traditional hard drums used in South India. There will be some other charecters like hunter, forest watcher etc with dancers wearing costumes of tigers. The folk art of folk dance form named Pulikkali attracts many tourists and foriegners in to Kerala folk dance forms. The folk dance pulikkali will be played in public with some funny activities of persons wearing the costumes of tigers.
